At Gordon Teele Farms, Farm Days (sometimes called Open House) are a more formal invitation for the public to come out and visit with us and the animals. Visitors are invited to take tours of the farm, enjoy up-close meetings with the alpacas, attend educational programs, and participate in interesting demonstrations on such skills as spinning. Complimentary refreshments are offered in our lovely Alpaca Boutique where guests can shop for exquisite alpaca products as well as special and unique gift items. Farm Days are the perfect outing for anyone who wishes to learn more about alpacas as pets or investment and about their beautiful fiber and its uses.
2009 shearing is completed. Fleece sorting and skirting will be most Saturdays. If you are interested in learning about sorting and skirting, call to schedule a visit and work with us.
GTF Alpaca Boutique Booth - Fall Artisan Festival
Visit the GTF Alpaca Boutique booth at the 35TH Annual Pinetop-Lakeside Fall Artisan Festival. We’ll have handmade and handcrafted products, such as hand dyed, hand spun yarns, roving and felt, also a selection of one of a kind, handmade scarves, handbags, clothing and home accessories. Learn the steps that go into processing our alpaca fleece from raw fleece to a finished product. Demonstrations of carding, spinning, weaving and knitting will be ongoing throughout the weekend.
